In his Sept 41 AAR, arianus asked a question about crossing multiple award thresholds on the same mission. Here's how I've handled it in past campaigns.
The rules for Oak Leaves, Swords, and Diamonds all read, "...after having previously won..." My take has always been that if the Kommandant crosses the threshold for several awards in one mission, he only gets the next one in line regardless of how much he accomplished. He can't receive the Oak Leaves until after receiving the KC, and that isn't awarded until the month after the current mission. So, he can't earn two awards in one month.
To look at it another way: Let's say you sink three freighters and a capital ship all on the same mission. If you want to argue multiple awards, then you have to keep track of what order they are sunk in. If the three freighters bring me to the 100,000 tons threshold, I'd earn the KC, and then I sink the capital ship for the OL. On the other hand, if I sink the capital ship first (for the KC) then even though the three freighters bring me over 100,000 total tonnage, they don't amount to 75,000 tons since sinking the capital ship.
In past campaigns, I've reset the tonnage meter with the first patrol after an award. So, if someone finishes the patrol at 105,000 tons, they earned the KC and now need an addiitonal 75,000 tons beyond the 105,000. Of course, I could be wrong in my interpretation.

Agreed. That is how I have always played it.
Specifically, for awards that are incremental, such as the Knight's Cross.
Awards that have different criteria, like the Iron Cross compared to the Knight's Cross, can be awarded for the same mission.

I agree regarding the difference between incremental and separate awards.

So it's like I thought it is - if I meet the "tonnage" quota by sinking capital, I got bump on KC just once, that tonnage threshold quota for meeting KC upgrade in tonnage is ignored.

So it's like I thought it is - if I meet the "tonnage" quota by sinking capital, I got bump on KC just once, that tonnage threshold quota for meeting KC upgrade in tonnage is ignored. If I read this correctly, I would say yes. My practice is I reset the accumulated tonnage to zero, following the patrol that the most recent threshold was reached. Example: If a Capital ship was sunk bringing the total, to say, 110,000 tons, a single KC level awarded. The tonnage clock for the next level would be set to Zero (0), so the next award would be at an additional 75,000 tons, not 65,000 tons. However, if the 110,000 tons was reached only through tonnage, the sub would get a credit for the 10,000 tons, so only 65,000 is needed for the next threshold. The above example may be considered detrimental to the sub, however, if the sub sinks a designated capital ship as their only kill on their first patrol, a KC would be awarded. They would then only need 75,000 tons, instead of 175,000 tons total, for the next level. Conceivably a sub could sink four designated capital ships to get the KCOS&D for a minimum of 104,800 tons, instead of the 300,000 tons of shipping.

I treat it a little differently, resetting the 'tonnage clock' at the end of any patrol in which the Kommandant earns a KC or subsequent award. So, to use ChefEd's example of the ship sinking a capital ship and reaching 110,000 tons, I'd require an additional 75,000 tons/capital ship for the Oak Leaves regardless oj which condition triggered tghe KC.
