In the course of our following patrol, we encountered single hostile warships and were attacked by the enemy submarine in the designated area. Pursuant to our orders, we engaged all enemy forces detected in the vicinity. With the combined efforts of my crew, we successfully sank both the enemy destroyer and submarine, marking a significant accomplishment for our mission objectives. Namely:Destroyer Kazegumo, identified tonnage 1,400 MT An unknown submarine; in the harbor was confirmed as the I-373, with a tonnage of 1,700 MT Upon review, I can confirm that the new batch of torpedoes performed well, with no duds registered during our hits; all torpedoes detonated. RESPECTFULLY
