1 DECEMBER 1940
Allied naval and air forces are making resupply to Libya difficult. Italian ground forces have not faired well against the Allies. Supply and mining operations are underway in the Central Mediterranean to maintain those supply lines in support of our forces.
Our group is currently based out of La Spezia, Italia. Some boats and crews may be assigned to BETASOM, at Bordeaux, France. Though stationed in Bordeaux and tactically coordinating with the Kriegsmarine, those submarines will remain under operational command of Submarine Division 18.
Patrol Assignments:
U-Boat Status:
“+” Denotes boats with two month patrols.
“†” Supply Mission: See Rule 6.7.1; No torpedo reloads.
“††” Minelaying Mission: See Rule 6.7.2; Mines are carried in torpedo tubes until deployed. Only reloads are carried. Foca class submarines are dedicated minelayers, and are not subject to this restriction.
