1 SEPTEMBER 1941
Special Orders: Evangelista Torricelli – Depart La Spezia and transit to Gibraltar. Once through the Straits, patrol the Spanish Coast. Upon completion of the patrol, transit through the Bay of Biscay to Bordeaux. Upon arrival, report to BETASOM command.
Our group is currently based out of La Spezia, Italia. Some boats and crews may be assigned to BETASOM, at Bordeaux, France. Though stationed in Bordeaux and tactically coordinating with the Kriegsmarine, those submarines will remain under operational command of Submarine Division 18.
